Privacy and cookies.
This notice explains what information this website collects, why, and how to ask about it. It is a draft for review before launch.
Who we are
Silver Works is an emerging heritage-led regeneration initiative in Sheffield. A community interest company is proposed but has not yet been registered. Until it is, the project team acts as the data controller for any information you send us. This section will be updated with the registered entity's details once confirmed.
Enquiries you send us
When you use the contact form we receive the name, organisation, email address, enquiry type and message you provide. We use these only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about the project.
Enquiries are delivered to the project team by email through a third-party email service and stored in the team's mailbox. We keep them for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to two years afterwards, unless a longer period is required for a continuing relationship or a legal reason.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking at present. If that changes, this notice will be updated and, where required, you will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. To do so, use the contact form or the project email address once published. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
This notice was drafted in October 2026 and will be reviewed before the website launches and whenever the project's legal status changes.
